VACATION OR "STAY-CATION?"
So the word around town these days is that more and more families are opting to take "stay-cations," rather than yes, you guessed it VAAAAAAAY-cations. Okay, to be completely fair, I don't really actually know for certain that more families are doing this... I mean, I haven't seen a statistic or poll on this, BUT given the general state of our economy (which, feel free to email me and actually explain what the eff is happening to our economy and why Wall Street is crumbling. The hoops, damn the hoops. (Some of us are avoiding twitter & facebook like the plague. Seriously, there would be no quality family time if I spend one more minute on the computer follwing, liking, twitting...)
My mom called me twice this week to talk about the stock market. Uh, Mom, I don't watch the news nor do I read the newspaper. Everything I need to know I get from Twitter. ;)
Anyways, yeah, the whole stay or vay debate. Usually we go to the beaches in North Carolina all summer long (even though we're like 15 minutes from a beach), but this summer we haven't.
P.S. If I win the trip to Jamaica, we are SO going together. ;)
